It's a Win-Win (Win)

The lucky ducky winner of my necklace made with love is CB2 of the Egocentric Mediocrity blog. I was thinking he had a good chance, as he out numbered any one elses entries by about 8 to 1, and I was right, it paid off. So please e-mail me or send me a little message on Facebook with your mailing address so I can get the necklace to you. Yay! Winner!

Now I am a winner because I made it through actually 6 days of being in bed (that is a long time to be sick as a grown up) and recovered in time for this:

Why, yes! That is me on the edge of a random high cool cliff in Moab. Spring Break took us there and to Mesa Verde, for miles of hiking and exploring- with hours of recovery in the hot tub, of course. It was the kind of trip that reminds me the great wonders in life are free.

That is where the final WIN comes in. Like Pam on The Office reminds Michael, I am reminding you ...there are Win/Win/Win situations all around us.

Now go find a sunny spot and soak up a little bit of life's simple pleasure. Sunshine.
(Who knows when the next snow storm will hit.)

How fun! I hope that my family can be as active as yours. I'm sure I need to wait till my youngest is old enough to not fall down a cliff. But even then, I can just put him on a leash. That would work, unless I had a heavy heavy child.

The sun seems to love you! You look fabulous! I thought of you and your family when I heard about the Four Corners being a couple miles off! We actually drove through Moab twice on our way to NM over Spring Break.

I have lived here my entire life and never been to Moab....or Lake Powell, or Bear Lake, or The Arches. Shall I go on? I am such a loser!!

I love win-win (win) situations!!

What did you think of that hike to the Arch? I thought I was going to die when I did it- and I did it in December!

PS: You look great!

Awesome pics. Here in CT though, constant dreary grey skied rain. Blech!

AHHHH! I am so jealous. I love Moab and just the warm, nice weather that you get down there. Did you guys go for Jeep Safari? I didn't know if Mike still had his Bronco. I'm always telling Ivan about Jeep Safari and we want to go really bad. You guys look great. Cutest family-as usual.

If your family likes hiking in the really beautiful areas, I HIGHLY recommend Goblin Valley/Capital Reef. We spent our spring break camping there and it was completely amazing despite the freezing temps.

Love the Moab pictures. I just found one of us in Mike's old Blue Bronco. We look so hot with our hair up and ratted out.
Luv ya!

OH MY you have brought back some very fond memories:) I grew up in West Jordan until I was 16 when my Father was transfered to Oklahoma with the Faa. I love Moab and Goblin Valley and Mesa Verde. I spent a lot of summers hiking around in those areas. I love the raw beauty there.

And thank you for the Mermaid Info. As it goes there are people who believe we live among Faeries also. Makes life a Fairy Tale:)

Looks like such a nice trip. My husband is obsessed with Mesa Verde (and similar sites) and it always reading about them. I'm sure that as soon as we can afford the plane fare, he'll drag us all out there too.

p.s. I know it wasn't fun, but I couldn't help but fantasize about laying in bed for 6 days. :)
