Bits of Beauty

I told myself no more wallowing on here. Today I was determined to capture a few beautiful sights, and share them .

My husband has been pushing the kids to be more self-reliant, and here is my 10 year old finishing up his laundry for the day. A sight for sore eyes....
Hubby came home early and it is time to get going on our shed. This shed has been in our yard for many years, and after much debate we are renovating it instead of tearing it down. Here is the outside of the shed, with a new roof and new side paneling.

Me in hubby's paint stained shirt, ready to help add color.... and the final coat of red.
I love it already

Inside the shed, once we pulled off the paneling we fell in love with the knotty wood we found an online seller getting rid of these sheets of tin, which we will use to panel the inside some how. I love the tin, too. I can't wait to see how my hubby pulls it all together.

Luckily, I had a retail therapy moment.....tote bags on clearance at Victoria's Secret I love this bag. Right now it is holding my iPod and my yoga block, because I took it to the gym. The bag was $2.49. *sigh*
I got two. I am regretting not buying all that they had left.

In the mailbox today

Why does getting a magazine bring instant relief? Ahhhhhh.

And I made a new Food Nanny Favorite, "Crunchy Parmesan Chicken". This pan isn't beautiful, but I am proud of the fact that I walked into the kitchen and made dinner, when I really just wanted to climb into my bed.

My family ate every last bit of the chicken, and I also pulled off rice and a salad. Small victories.

A few beautiful things in my day.

On an honest note, I would appreciate any happy positive thoughts or prayer you can spare. I am back to the doctor tomorrow to discuss my world as I know it, and beg for help with my ear.

Heavenly inspiration is always appreciated.

You know I FEEL your pain with your ear problems.
Billy has had ear troubles for years..dizzy,pain,popping etc..It's awful!
Have any of the oils helped?
Your shed is looking awesome! I need to come and drive by and see it!
Hang in there....it WILL get better...it always seems to..somehow, someway...

Hey Girlie,
Sending you love and postive thoughts. Whats wrong with your ear? Maybe there is some kind of funky ear infection going on and we both got it. You pray for my ear and I will pray for yours. That chicken sounds great and it must have been that pan is empty. Someday your son's wife will thank you for the laundry guidence you have given him. Love to you, sweetie.

Ok, after reading your post and the last comment, I really wonder what is going on with ears. My husband has been battling an earache, infection(?) or something for a few weeks now. I keep thinking it will just go away, but not so far.

It is weird, right? All the ear stuff?
Mine started as cerumen impaction (too much ear wax) but it is so imbedded on the ear drum now I have pain, deafness, dizziness, and ringing. I just want to stay in bed all day, which doesn't help my emotional breakdowns any. I need to tackle both these issues, and fast.

fix those ears fast, the world needs your singing.

I love the shed, I'm all green with envy. I can totally see a shabby rusty weather vain on top...

Come out and chill with us, we miss you guys.

Looks like a good day (or few days). Hope those tote bags don't have bedbugs. Hahaha! (http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2010/0720/Bed-bugs-Victoria-s-Secret-closure-points-to-a-bed-bug-comeback)

Love the shed. It needs to be mommy's time-out spot! Add a pillow and a comfy chair and voila! I have to run to Victoria's Secret to see if there are any bags left!!

left you a comment on the last post. HUGS to you, hang in there, and track your moods with your cycle- mine's always mid-cycle craziness. And now that I'm perimenopausal- ugh. Get those running shoes on and get those endorphins moving. xoxo

and PS, went by a bulletin board the other day, made me cry. "When all else fails, I'm still here. Love, God." I forget He knows how I feel, and quickly say the little prayers to get me through the day.
